No.5 IDEAL SPOT SETTING MACHINE

The above illustration shows very clearly the merits of a new style machine for setting standard spots. The machine is fastened securely the bench the proper throat is put in position : the leather in be spotted is placed on the base "N", and the throat holder "B", containing the proper throat, is brought down on the leather. the gauges "E" and "F" are adjusted so the spot will be driven in the places desired: a spot is put in the throat, the proper sized driver is selected, placed over the spot, and driven own with a hammer or wooden mallet. (the latter is preferable.)
